Hannibal S02E09

This show is so, so pretty.

This third opening scene with the truck driver has some very interesting shots, but I have no idea what that thing was.

"Adapt. Evolve. Become." Hmmm

Will's therapy session - I love these tightly-framed close-ups.

So this lady patient. (Margot?) What's her deal?

In Margot's therapy session there are no straight-on shots of Hannibal - close-up from above, medium shot in profile.

Haha. Hannibal's hat.

Is the stag Will's patronus? I think the stag is Will's patronus.

"A student of predators." I like the way that sounds.

It's really too bad there isn't a lady scientist anymore now that Beverly is dead. It's also too bad that she hasn't shown up in any dreams or visions.

I like this Margot character.

"Private carnage" - another good phrase.

"Typhoid and swans" - ANOTHER good phrase.

Maybe just stay inside and lock the door, Will.

STILL no fallout from the murder of Chilton. What gives??

Game of Thrones S04E04

These tunnels remind me of Jerusalem.

Hooray for the white lady!

There is something vaguely Marxist about this "You must free yourselves!" thing.

It's nice of Jaime to sit on the floor with him.

We've never seen much of Jaime and Tyrion's relationship. This is nice.

Part of me would really like to see Sansa become a killer. But I hope she doesn't.

Nice scene transitions in this episode.

Hmm, Margaery doesn't seem to happy that her grandmother killed Joffrey. HMMMM

The Night's Watch armor looks kind of like a trash can.

What IS that guy doing at the wall? Isn't he the one who cut off Jaime's hand? He's one of Roose Bolton's guys, no? Why is he pretending to be a criminal up at the wall?

Hm, what's going on with this Jaime/Cersei interaction here?

Oh no, dear, Margaery. Don't seduce a child!

I do love her makeup in this scene, though.

Nothing described as "our little secret" is ever, ever good for the person to whom it is being described.

Aww, are Jaime and Brienne palling around? I love it!

All Jaime's good doings this episode make it even more hard for the viewer that he raped Cersei last episode.

(I really want to tousle Nikolaj's hair. (Not Jaime's. Nikolaj's.))

Oh good! Pod isn't out of the picture!

He's an interesting character, Jaime.

I don't remember Bran running into Sam.

Ohhhhhhh riiiiiight, Locke is trying to get close to Snow to find Bran.

White Walkers a'comin! (The water freezing is like the ripples in the water glass that show that the T Rex is coming in Jurassic Park.)

Didn't Bran's vision indicate he was supposed to go back to King's Landing or something?

So the girl (what's her name?) sees that women are being raped and she feels unsafe and wants to go, and the guys she's with are like, "What? Why? No way!" And then they all get captured.

So what do the White Walkers do with these babies?

So the White Walkers have, like, a whole society going on way up north.

Orphan Black S02E02

So then where's Mrs. S?

Apparently the Orphan Black fandom really likes Delphine. I'm not crazy about her, though.

I don't understand what just happened with Brenda.

"Aynsley wore a scarf in the kitchen." NEVER wear a scarf in the kitchen.

Poor Alison.

Also, I think I have the same sunglasses as Felix.

Who are these farmer people?

Once Upon a Time: S03E19: A Curious Thing

Oh look, the traditional Snow White haircut. It looks terrible.

Aurora got turned into a monkey?? This is the perfect time for Mulan to come back.

The kiss-curse on Hook has been pretty useless, so why bother with it in the first place?

So they cast their own curse? Then how did Zelena know what was going on?

Sometimes Charming is, like, really eager to sacrifice himself.

Aw, this is actually kind of sad.

But there were no memories in the original curse?

Bates Motel S02E08: Meltdown

Awwww, little Freddie!

Hahaha! It's the owl!!

Oooh, is he going to sit him in the parlor? No. Oh well.

I'm excited to see what happens when someone actually comes at Norma.

Is Norma *trying* to get a rise out of Norman?

Dylan has the most sense of anyone on this show.

I'm still waiting to see what the deal is with this George guy and his sister. They're too nice for this town.

"What about dinner?" Really? Did you even hear all the insecurities she just expressed?

Ooooh, I like creepy and malicious Norman!

Is Norma using George as a pawn in her relationship with Norman? Isn't that backwards?

So everybody wants Zane dead, right? Just get Sheriff Romero to do it or something.

Norma isn't there when Norman gets kidnapped because she was having sex. Does that make up for season 1 when Norman wasn't there to help Norma when she was raped?

The Wire S03E01: Time After Time

Let's see if I can guess the theme of this season from the opening credits. Let's see...politics, construction, drugs, wiretaps, violence. Sound right?

Nice speech, but I don't think that's going to work.

Was that guy reading a dictionary?

"Adjourn your asses"

Is that Littlefinger???

It totally is Littlefinger. My lord he looks young.

Oh, Bubbles. You're such a clown sometimes.

It must suck to be an addict. All the money you get goes into the needle.

Jimmy doesn't even sit next to his kids at the game?

I like the way this show shows being a cop as a JOB. The station is a workplace. You don't see that in a lot of cop shows.

Rawls is a good Deputy Ops.

So Cedric has to be pretend to be living with his wife to advance her campaign even though it hurts his career?

Jimmy takes this all awfully personally.

"What the fuck did I do?" The Jimmy McNulty catchphrase.

"They're behaving like assholes in the presence of sworn officers, boss." Herc sure has a way with words.

Are we ever going to meet Pryz's wife?

Is this guy who just got out of jail (Cudi?) this season's tragic anti-hero?

Hannibal S02E08

Marry me, Mads.

That's one thing about eating fish - you can tell that it used to be a fish. (For better or worse...)

So is that it for Chilton? We don't get any fallout?

That little flashback exposition for Hannibal's patient was like a perfume commercial slash acid trip.

Alana, dear, that is NOT the only thing weirder than finding a woman in a horse.

This victim has shades of Silence of the Lambs - the chrysalis idea, the thing lodged in her throat...

Will walking into the stable looks like the Exorcist.

Wait, how did the killer get the bird in her chest?

Imagine if a medical doctor and his patient were playing games like Hannibal and will are playing. What would that be? Trying to diagnose each other, I suppose. I thought this train of thought would be funnier when it started.

This episode is very odd. I'm not sure how. I do wish there was some fallout from the murder of Chilton. That was kind of a big deal.

This parallel between kicked-in-the-head and his social worker and Will and Hannibal is a little too clear-cut.

Why is this an FBI case in the first place?

Oh. My heart actually hurts for this guy discovering all his animals gone.

The social worker is a little too straight-up sociopath.

What was the score of last season like? Was it also all this dissonant percussion?

"Is your social worker in that horse?"

"But you didn't deserve to kill him, Peter." Isn't that what you were going to do, Will? Kill the killer? Didn't you just say that doing bad things to bad people felt good? Is Peter different because he's "simple"?

They asked if the social worker was in the horse - they didn't ask if the social worker was dead.

I wondered why the image of Hannibal petting the sheep tickled me, and then I realized that a sheep is like a lamb!

Are Hannibal and Will going to start killing people righteously now together?

(Okay, I guess the clear parallel is all right because they address that it's a parallel.)

OMG. The way Hannibal put his hand on the back of Will's head/neck!!!!

Game of Thrones S04E03

I hope the jester has a plan, because running makes her look awfully guilty.

"You're stronger than you know" Sansa in a nutshell.

"Hush hush, voices carry," - Petyr Baelish.

So was Margaery not in on this?

I would like for Tywin Lannister to host Family Feud. "Show me holiness!" "Show me justice!"

Does this Lannister heir to the throne have a name? I didn't even know he existed.

So the time for the "sex talk" is immediately following the "king talk."

Has Cersei ever referred to Joffrey as "our son" before (wrt Jaime?)

Raping a woman at the foot of your son's funeral platform? Oh right, Jaime's not a good guy.

The Hound is a terrible dinner guest.

"If you're a famous smuggler, you're not doing it right." That's a rather succinct way to but the difference between pirates and smugglers.

They should have changed "Bravos" to "HBOs"

That ass close-up was just a tad more gratuitous than usual.

I like Oberyn's pants.

I like this scene between Tywin and Oberyn

Aww, I like Pod.

Oh, Daenerys. Always with the symbolism.

Once Upon a Time S03E18

I'm really close to giving up on this show.

Like, Regina's eyebrows are one of the only reasons I'm still watching.

It's nice to see Rumple be dangerous again, even if it is against his will.

Hm. Didn't think we'd see Rose McGowan again.

Ooh, is this Zelena's father?

Good thing Snow just reminded us that her father's name was Leopold.

So Cora was engaged to Leopold and then later pawns her daughter off on him? How does Leopold not remember Cora when he marries Regina?

So did Zelena cast the second curse to get close to the baby?

Gee, they sure make it clear that Cora was selfish where Snow and Emma were selfless.

The X-Files S06E21

Hey, it's Teen Witch!

"Skeletonized" is a word?

Bog sludge? Is that a technical term?

You know what would be awesome? Jack McCoy questioning Fox Mulder on the witness stand. That would be amazing. McCoy's eyebrows would raise right up off his head.

Are they all just on shrooms or something?

It's unusual to hold a wake in the deceased's own apartment, isn't it?

So this trip is characterized by people being easily persuaded?

Orphan Black S02E01

Awww, that diner owner was a nice guy.

Alison puts up a good fight.

Wait, I thought Helena was dead? I guess not.

But the cowboy guy was working with Daniel, wasn't he?

The Wire S02E12: Port in a Storm

Uh oh. Who are they fishing out? Frank? Ohhhh no.

Surely Nicky won't stay loyal after this...

I love Herc's quest for respect.

I'm surprised bald Greek guy is still in town.

I love Bubbles and Kima.

Nice shot focusing on Frank's mugshot behind Nick.

Haha. I like this with Nick pointing out the Greek in the photograph.

Daniels is BUILT.

Ah shit. Oh good, he pulled it from the fax.

They didn't tell Herc that Nick came in??

Freeman is spelled Freamon??? This changes everything!!!

I bet lots of families need to be put in witness protection just because of the husband, with the wife none the wiser. That must put a strain on the marriage.

I like Omar's father-figure guy. Butch?

I get the feeling this season finale will have a lot less closure than last.

They sent 3 FBI agents just to say that?

Wow. Didn't think I'd see Boris sweat.

I wonder if we'll see Ziggy again.

And does Nick still need to go into protection?

The Wire S02E11: Bad Dreams

Who was Pablo in bed with?

Oh, Omar. You're smarter than to do Stringer's dirty work for him.

This is a really good scene, between Ziggy and Frank during visiting hours.

First thing tomorrow? They're going to get to him by first thing tomorrow.

What does it mean that this guy tore up the passport he showed to Nick?

They really make these Greeks out to be slick jerks.

What is this fax we're following?

Ohhhhhh. This is bad.

Are they ever going to get this guy? The government mole?

Once Upon a Time S03E17: The Jolly Roger

Actually, you do need a ship to be a pirate. Without a ship you're just a thief.

Oh Emma. Those wrinkles in your brow are going to become permanent if you keep frowning.

Hook is one of the only characters I enjoy watching anymore. Him and Regina.

Uh oh. The Charmings are going to try to be fun? (Well at least they've acknowledged hat they're fuddy duddies.)

BB is Blackbeard? I thought it would be Bilbo Baggins.

Hook is channeling some serious Jack Sparrow this episode.

Oooh! I love CGIed chasms!

Why Blackbeard? He's historical, not fictional. Surely they could have found a fictional pirate. Long John Silver, perhaps?

That can't be Blackbeard. Where is his beard?? (Is Eric the real Blackbeard?)

That was the worst Blackbeard I've ever seen.

Is this scene with Henry driving supposed to be comic?

Zelena pretending to be Ariel is a pretty stupid device.

Also, cursing Hook so that if he kisses Emma she loses her powers is also a stupid device.

Wait, so why did the spell Belle put on Eric's cape work? And why was Eric's cape in GOld's shop in the first place?

So did they off Neal just so they could advance the Hook/Emma plot? And does that mean that Hook and Emma will end up together? How boring.

Bates Motel S02E07: Presumed Innocent

That's a great shot of Norman's face when he's sitting in the back of the police cruiser. What a face he's making!

Is this councilman guy the only Jew in town?

I guess no one ever told Norman that he should wait to see a lawyer before he starts yapping.

Norman. Stop talking.

I like that whatsisface used "Kojak" as a verb. Remo.

Norma is going to flip on this texting receptionist.

"I've done your laundry." That seems inappropriate to bring up.

Is anyone with Cody right now? Is she alone? Why aren't the police questioning her, too?

Zane is taking this really well.

It *does* seem like they've had Norman for an awful while.

Norma, talking to Cody is not a good idea right now.

See, Norma? You're making things worse.

Vera Farminga really has the "hug someone and look up towards the ceiling in thought" thing down pat.

Norman is definitely expecting too much of Cody right now.

That house would be so much less ominous if they painted it a nice light color.

Is Norman wearing the apron a nod to his cross-dressing future?

Once again I am overwhelmed by Emma's beauty.

"Calling, texting. I know myself. I know I'm not going to do that." Respect.

I guess I don't mind the very budding romance between Norma and Romero.

Whoa. So Norma tells Norman that there's something wrong with him and that she won't tell him what and kind of threatens him. Hmm. I'll be interested to see how this changes their relationship.

I like how Remo has become "Dylan's guy"

Game of Thrones S04E02

Are they hunting a girl. Really.

Never thought I'd see Tyrion intentionally waste wine. That was actually sweet of him.

Is JamieXBronn the new hot slash pairing?

Is "The Dreadfort" really what they call it?

That is an awful shaving brush. And no way he'd get such a nice shave in so few strokes.

Circe looks pretty at this banquet.

Real tactful, Joffrey. Reeeeeeal tactful.

If Tyrion is saying all this to Shae just to upset her and make her leave, he's pretty convinving.

I forget - does Stannis' wife not know about the Red Woman or not care?

That is some hairdo! But that's the necklace they went with?

So they're having a renfaire-themed wedding party?

I do like Sansa's hair jewel thingy.

Sir Loras knows what's up.

BURRRRRRRRRN. (Tyrion declining to join the other dwarves.)

Marjorie is the queen of diffusing tension with misdirection. "Look, the pie!"

The good thing about the spoiler I saw is that I got to catch whatserface's irony about killing someone at a wedding.

Questions:
1.  Assuming Emma Peel is responsible for poisoning Joffrey, did she intentionally set up Tyrion to take the fall? Why?
2. Did the jester dude have a role in the murder?
3. What is Melisandre going to do to the little girl?
4. Does anyone really care about Bran?

Hannibal S02E07

Jack's eyebrows are really thin for a guy.

I have such a crush on Alana. Alana and Emma from Bates Mote. They are my TV lady cruches.

Oh yeah, I forgot that was Anna Chlumsky.

Will's cell is really dungeon-esque.

But what about Will's encephalitis? Isn't it still untreated?

"Is he safe?" "From me or for you?" Nice dialogue there.

So much of the architecture in this show is almost brutalist.

This show is so good!

I love the refrigerator lighting in this scene in Hannibal's kitchen. Ahhhhhh!

So now they think Chilton is the Ripper??

(This show has more doctors than House. (Almost. (Not really.)))

But, but...what??

Chilton can't be the Ripper. He's far too squeamish.

All these false arrests are going to make the FBI look pretty bad.

WHAT?? Well THAT'S not canon!

"I have to deal with you, and my feelings about you...You've changed me." "The friendship that we had is over." - SLASH GOLD right thurr.

I'm not crazy about Will's haircut but god damn does Hannibal have nice hair.

The X-Files S06E20: Three of a Kind

As much as I love the Lone Gunmen, I'm not crazy about these Gunmen-only episodes. And I don't care much about Suzanne Modeski.

That is a niiiiiice bathroom!

OH! It's that guy! Who is that guy? Oh, it's the guy Mulder switched places with that time. Or at least that actor.

Is this going to be a Casablanca situation with Byers as Rick?

Did they brainwash Langley to cut his hair??

The target is Suzanne, isn't it. (Oh, his hair is just tied up?)

The Wire S02E10: Storm Warnings

Aww, Omar is so cute with the puppy.

Okay, that is not muscle, Brother. That is a gun.

Oh Ziggy. This is not a good idea. Ziggy. What are you doing. Why are you shooting everyone. Ziggy.

At least he manned up and confessed?

It seems like Jay almost has sympathy for him.

Whoa! Pryz! Balls!

McNulty tried so hard to get off the boat and now he's back on it? Oh, doing surveillance.

Aw, so Pryz is gone now?

Haha, remember when there were dozens of wireless companies?

I like this scene on the merry go round. Good acting, Pablo.

I like that this show actually shows the paper work and legwork and stuff needed to do police work. (Have I already said that?)

Saturday, April 12, 2014

The Wire S02E09: Stray Rounds

Who are they shooting at?

That kid is dead.

You done screwed up, kid who killed Wallace whose name I don't know.

Nice throw. Not such a nice landing.

I hope Ziggy's duck doesn't get hurt.

Did they do something to Ziggy's duck??

They did :(

Carver. I always forget his name. Carver. Herc's buddy is Carver.

When did Lester to take to wearing like a Hawaiian shirt?

There are a lot fewer shots of monitors and CCTVs this season. Like, none.

I'm proud of Pryz. He's come a long way already.

Did Zig get knuckles tattoos??

Are we going to leave the Sobotkas and stevedores after this season, I wonder?

So the Greek gave over his own product?

Is glasses here that Brother guy?

The Wire S02E08: Duck and Cover

I'm getting real sick of drunk McNulty.

So how did Ziggy get down? (And why does he want a duck?)

Lester really can lead Daniels around however he wants. He's Lester! He's good police.

Poor Diggins. He's going to be left all alone.

You can't bring a duck into a bar! That's a a health code violation.

Kima looks good in that helmet.

Oooh, Russell (That's her name), if you're going to lie you need people to cover you.

Frank is no dummy.

Oh is he going to choose a girl who looks like Russell? Creepy.

The Wire S02E07: Backwash

Seriously? Flowers shaped like a gun??

Yup. I knew that putting her back in uniform was going to be the way they were going to go.

I like that Frank likes her. (What's he name, again?) And I like that she feels like she's being useful.

Ziggy is growing on me as a character.

I like Pryz and Kima as partners.

Why does lady-dock-cop's ex hate Zig so much?

Awww, the look on his face when that tennis ball got run over. :)

McNulty hasn't been in this episode at all (yet). I like it this way.

Nick has a pi tattoo? Is that new?

Ohhhh this fat guy's tie is baaaad.

Lester makes everyone want to be a better police.

Oh Bunk and his cigars.

Avon's real broken up about this. I haven't seen him so upset.

I wonder how Stringer and Avon met up. How did Avon come to trust String so much?

Where was Avon getting his packages from before?

Oh Nick. Answering the siren's song of money from selling drugs.

This black stevedore is getting suspicious of Frank.

Oh here's McNulty. Fine.

Take a hint, McNulty.

I like that the McNulty kids called their mom for the spider.

You fell in love with his ambition and you want him to quit his job?

Law & Order: SVU S15E19: Beast's Obsession

That frosting looks reeeeally good. (Minus whatever she put in them)

Is he really going to escape JUST to go after Benson? I feel like if I escaped from prison I would just go on the lam.

How is Benson leading this investigation??

Oh good, Donal Logue is back. I wouldn't mind him staying on as Captain, actually.

This music is really intense, right guys?

"What kind of monster is he?" The raping and murdering kind.

Where did he get the cigarette?

Come on, Olivia. You can trust ol' Donal Logue.

I'm not sure what I think of Liv's hairstyle in this episode.

Wow. He's really tall, isn't he?

I thought Lewis was into old ladies, not little girls.

We haven't seen much of the TARU guys in a while.

How does Olivia know/remember where his former attorney lived?

Donal Logue is smart!

They're showing this in Times Square???

What does Barba think about all this??

I don't think this was a very good move, Liv.

Olivia is soooo bored by her handlers' chit chat.

So much for "I'll be right outside." That handler is so fired.

BEHIND YOU!!

Okay, I have to agree with Lewis that Benson and Cassidy don't have a ton of chemistry.

Uh oh. For the first time this episode I'm actually concerned for Benson.

That was some nice acting from Mariska when she pulled the trigger for Russian ROulette.

I'm not really sure what Lewis gets out of this game. Just the control aspect?

So what just happened? He shot himself for the purpose of terrorizing her?

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

The Wire S02E06: All Prologue

"Same dude, different name is all" Omar and Stringer are on the same wavelength here.

Hahahaha. I love Omar's court outfit. That tie.

This prosecutor haaaates Omar.

Omar isn't exactly credible. Bird didn't help himself by exploding.

Oooh, Omar's comparison of himself to the defense lawyer is APT.

Was it McNulty's ex that showed Pablo the apartment?

McNulty should have Omar babysit.

Oh wait, did she actually end up with Lester? Isn't that...frowned upon? To see former CIs socially?

I love that you can tell that Pablo has a history of saving Ziggy's ass even though he's never explicitly said it all expositionally.

It's kind of trite that D goes into a deep and relevant analysis of The Great Gatsby.

McNulty really does screw over everyone he  works with.

"You would both be cadaverous motherfuckers" That's some way with words.

Are they going to kill D?

Is Bunk's alcoholism going to be a thing at some point?

Oh that look of disgust on Daniels' face as he leaves Bunk puking.

Heroin instead of money is a bad idea, Pablo. You know that.

Ohhh McNulty, how could you think "a fuck for the road" would mean you get to stay over the next day.

Is D about to get shanked???

Aww :(

Surely there are cameras in that back room, right??

The Wire S02E05: Undertow

I can't decide if Ziggy is annoying or tragic. Probably both.

I love that Bubbles knows more nautical terminology than McNulty.

I like the word "stevedore." It reminds me of Man's Fate.

Aww, the gang's all back together. Except for McNulty.

Pathetic, that's what Ziggy is. In the truest sense of the word.

Hahaha, Stringer Bell is asking his economics professor for drug dealing advice.

Andy Bellefleur is pretty good in this.

Ah, they get a voucher for court clothes. I wondered how that works.

I wonder how Vic Mackey would do in Baltimore.

Why would they set that car on fire? Just spite?

I think Herc just enjoys buying drugs.

Is this pre- or post-Patriot Act? Are they going to be brought in for searching for chemicals to make drugs?

I have respect for Frank.

I love Stringer trying to teach the dealers economics.

Bates Motel S02E06: Plunge

Phish? The drug boss lady listens to Phish?

This is a nice shot of Norman in the closet.

They are going to be so fired from their theater gig.

"You sell pot, right?" Smooth, Cody.

Nice touch about the curtains.

Oh Norman, don't go swimming in your boxers. They'll be see-through.

It is a pretty spot.

Don't have second thoughts, Emma. Pot bot is way better than Norman.

Poor Emma :(

Oh, but don't yell at Cody like that, Norman.

So is this drug lady Poison Ivy or something?

Of course she wants to sleep with Dylan. Bad idea, though, Dylan. Probably.

Oh Vera, that silhouette!

"Getting this seat means everything to me." You only got this idea like two days ago!

Well that was an awkward meeting with the Mayor. The Mayor is awkward.

Wow. Cody is doing something responsible.

Oh come one, Norma. You know you didn't get that seat by yourself.

The driving teacher shouldn't scoff like that.

Norman really needs some dude friends.

The Wire S02E04: Hard Cases

Bubbles!!

McNulty keeps getting Bubbles into trouble.

So what's Herc been up to?

Monday, April 7, 2014

Game of Thrones S04E01

Jaime is 40 years old?

I think I like this Oberyn guy okay.

Poor fucking Sansa.

I know they're brother and sister, but Cersei and Jaime are cute together.

Man, nobody in this episode is in the mood for sex.

Joffrey is really good at swaggering.

I think Daenerys wins best eyebrows this episode.

I'm glad that Jaime and Brienne are still friends.

Though Sansa's brows are pretty good, too.

Arya's brows aren't so bad either.

The Hound's face seems less messed up than it used to be.

Once Upon a Time S03E16: It's Not Easy Being Green

What a groaner of a title.

Wait, why couldn't Zelena help Cora become royalty?

What's the deal with this Oz guy? Is he just exposition?

He didn't say what she was supposed to bring back.

Why are Belle and Tink the new deputies?

This scene with Hook and Henry actually rings true emotionally for once.

I don't like seeing Rumple as Zelena's lapdog.

I don't like Zelena's character, either. She has no humanity. And she says her lines with too much...stupidness.

"Never bring your heart to a witch fight." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I really like Regina and Robin together.

The Wire S02E03: Hot Shots

Ew. I don't want to watch a puppy eat a rat.

So is this season all about unions as gangs?

I love how much Pryz looks up to Daniels and Freeman.

Sunday, April 6, 2014

The X-Files S06E19: The Unnatural

The KKK are aliens??

Jesse L. Martin!? Yay Detective Green :)

Scully is sassy this episode!

They're really playing up Arthur Dales this season.

Look how young he is!

Is that the same actor who played the other young Arthur Dales?

Why is that kid dressed like he's from the 30s?

Those were some good yelps!

Has the alien bounty hunter spoken before?

Aww, this is sad :(

I want a Roswell Grays jersey.

This last scene is sweet :)

The X-Files S06E18: Milagro

Oh greeeeat, another killer obsessed with Scully.

This guy is suuuuch a creep.

Come on, Scully, you know better than to indulge a stalker.

This episode is oblique and stupid.

Saturday, April 5, 2014

Hannibal S02E06

Hannibal's facial bone structure is amaaaazing.

Alana's hair is too bouncy.

"I'll give Alana Bloom your best" - was that a threat?

I do love Raul Esparza as Chilton.

Huh. I never realized that Chopsticks is a waltz.

Nooooooo! Don't do it, Alana!!

How did Hannibal make his money? As a suregon?

I'm getting a flashback of Ray Liotta eating his own brain.

(That dining room is not cobalt)

So why let Will off the hook (ha!) now?

The Wire S02E02: Collateral Damage

Ew. Are they putting egg in their beers??

This Ziggy guy isn't gonna end up well.

Avon's cell looks pretty luxurious.

One thing I especially like about this show is that it really shows the process/operations of the homicide department – how they catch and assign cases.

I don't believe for a second that his wife wants to get back together.

The Wire S02E01: Ebb Tide

From the opening credits it looks like McNulty might be staying on the water for a while.

Is that Pablo Schreiber? I think it is.

And is that other guy Andy Bellefleur?

So why do I care about these dockworker guys?

Oh, Jimmy. Why you causing trouble?

Law & Order: SVU S15E18: Downloaded Child

Oooh, Cassidy, bad haircut...

WHY IS THAT GIRL STANDING ON THE TABLE??? How did she get there? Just get down!

Come on, Brian. Lots of couples go through a lull when they move in together.

They're sure laying it on thick with the crazy on Jenny.

Uh, what? Did Jenny transfer all her crazy onto the psychiatrist?

They're all like "She wants to see the perp in person! How mature!" when really they should be like "Well this won't end well."

Oh. Well. That went better than expected. Y'done good, Jenny.

That scene with her disrobing for the therapist was totally gratuitous and stupid.

I love when Barba talks laws.

Aww, what a happy ending for Jenny!

Wait, what happened to that baby from the beginning of the episode?

Bates Motel S02E05: The Escape Artist

"How about you come down to my boat?" Yeah, that sounds safe.

Emma is so fucking cute.

Cody is such a snot.

Is Norma's skirt-suit...denim?

Seriously. So. Fucking. Cute. I want an Emma.

Aw, does Cody have a bad family life? Shocker.

Really, Norma? You wore heels to go to a boat? I mean I know you're trying to look classy and professional and stuff, but come on!

"You have nothing to lose by going against him" = "I can use you."

"I'm too mixed up in everything that goes on in this town" = "My money comes from drugs"

Ooooh, it's the little pine weasel all over again!

Watching Norman climb a rope into a treehouse is not exactly riveting television, folks.

"Are you going to kiss me now?" "Yeah. I think so." Cute! Cupcake guy is okay, I guess. A little milquetoast.

That's a really terrible thing to say about someone, Norma.

You don't have to move so fast, Emma. Take your time. (Cute undies, though.)

Who the hell is this lady? (Besides Zane's sister, which she just told us.)

The Wire S01E13: Sentencing

How does Bunk not know that McNulty slept with Rhonda? What kind of detective is he?

Is she gonna ask about Bubbles? Hooray!

I like Bubble's shirt.

Aww, I feel kinda bad for Herc :( He really wanted that.

What's the name of the guy who did Wallace?

So Lester moves up to Homicide.

Ah, the circle of life.

So, what? They weren't sure if they'd get a second season? Everything seems pretty wrapped up...

I forget, did McNulty say he wanted to be on the boat, or he didn't want to be on the boat?

Wait, did Stringer orchestrate all of this? Is that what they're saying?

Oh! Omar! He's a loose end! (He's a loose cannon, at that...)

The Wire S01E12: Cleaning Up

Lester is just working his charm on her hard.

That was pretty ballsy of D to refuse to give Wallace to Avon. But somehow I have a feeling that Wallace isn't gonna stay safe.

The Deputy is so damn smug about introducing Daneils to the Senator.

Aw, Wallace is so good with the kids. He's done for.

McNulty's blue hoodie looks wicked comfy.

Are they going to shoot him in the back??

Poor Wallace :(

And why is this asshole holding the gun sideways? Who's he trying to show off to?

But where are his siblings?

Wait, Wallace is his last name? What was his first name?

The way the series started, with D's trial, we never saw D murder the guy. So even though we know he's a murderer, we haven't seen it. He's still a moral being in our eyes.

D's "Where's Wallace??" reminds me of Skyler's "Am I under arrest??"

I like how they use "police" in the singular. "These are the people that dropped a police."

Tell 'im, Daniels!

McNulty would look great as an anime character. Spiky hair. Angled jaw. Eyebrows. Mhmm.

Haha. "Catch ya later," McNulty says to Stringer.

On the one hand, you want to side with D. Stringer shouldn't have had Wallace shot. On the other hand, Wallace DID snitch.

Hmm. One episode left in the season. Where does this leave us?

The Wire S01E11: The Hunt

Come on! You gotta let us know if Kima's alive or not!

Okay, the Major in action is pretty effective, even if he is a dick in the office.

Who was it they were trying to bait with this thing, again?

Jimmy's a cutie, isn't he? Even covered in blood...

It's neat to see detective work that actually involves walking around with flashlights looking for footprints.

It's cute/endearing how the Major is taking care of McNulty. ...in his own way.

Is anyone going to know to tell Bubbles?

Aww, come on, don't dumb down a girlfriend to a room mate for the Deputy.

Usually if the TV cop makes it this far s/he pulls through, right??

"Where you working?" "Pawn shop unit." Hahahaha.

Waaaaallace, you're not supposed to tell your gang buddies where you're staying after you just ratted on them.

"Please make some sense of this for me. I ain't been so clean in all my life."

Aww, poor Bubbles.

Ballcap cop is watching the payphones with a new fervor.

No, Jimmy. It wasn't worth it. Not this time.

Bubbles is a short guy?

Is Bubbles going to try to get revenge for Kima?

What is the deal with this Savino guy??

Ohh Idris Elba, I forgive you.

Aw, c'mon McNulty. Bubbles is trying to get clean. Can't you see that? Guess not.

Who is this short little toady guy?

I thought that guy refused to rat to the superior? He took that old case with the gypsy lady instead?

Hahahahaha, D is just fish-sitting. He thought he was going to get iced.

Awww :( This scene with Kima's girlfriend on the couch is so sad :(

The Walking Dead S04E16

Finale time!

Gee, I wonder if Rick's description of the trap could be a metaphor for Terminus...

I would think Michonne at the least would be wary of Terminus. Oh, she is. Well good, then.

I don't remember Rick strangling anyone?

Time for a Rick Rampage!

Did Rick just claim the guy? Like in their rules?

I *think* that may have been the first real threat of rape in the series. And it was directed at Carl. (I must be forgetting something. Did the Governor threaten rape?)

Daryl's hair looks so soft.

I like Michonne's outfit - that leather vest and those glovelets.

I kind of like this relationship between Carl and Michonne.

I also like that Carl is like a bona fide character now.

I'm not so hot on how heavy this episode is peddling the "WE are the walking dead" theme, though.

Are they witches??

Carl is watching to see what Rick will do - this is a good Rick/Carl dynamic episode without being overbearingly about their relationship.

Was the powdered milk supposed to be a sign of Judith?

This was a pretty good episode. Different, as far as season finales go. It's good that it gave us just a taste of what these Terminus people are all about.

Crisis S01E03: What Was Done To You

This Chief of Staff couldn't hold a candle to Linda from House of Cards. And his office isn't half as nice.

His office is TEENY! No way the White House Chief of Staff has such a small office!

Gillian Anderson is the only reason I'm still giving this show a chance, and she hasn't shown up yet in this episode.

I do not believe that Aziz is home.

Oh good, some exposition from the villain.

Is Gillian Anderson even in this episode??

Okay, Crisis. You have until the end of this episode to win me over on your own merits.

Really? This high school kid was observant enough to see that the electrical outlets are US outlets?

Blackberry product placement. Interesting choice.

That's a nice looking bag, though.

Right. Like network TV needs more torture.

I think I'm done with this show. Unless I get desperate.
