I love this episode. It reminds me very much of S2's "Humbug," or something else Darin Morgan would write.
"The hand may be quicker than the eye, but it still leaves fingerprints." I love you Dana Scully.
The heckler is pretty cute, though.

The X-Files S07E07 "Orison"
Oh hey, it's Herschel.
(I didn't blog the last episode, The Goldberg Variations, but it was good.)
I don't really remember the episode this is a follow up to.
Oooh, trepanation
Whaaaaat? Did he turn into a monster in the other episode?
Really? He's in Scully's closet? How did he get there?

The X-Files S07E04 "Millennium"
Okay, I admit I haven't really been paying attention to this episode. What's going on?
But this episode is just a tie-in for Chris Carter's other show, right?
"Nobody likes a math geek, Scully." - Mulder
Whre are they that it appears to be daytime when it's midnight in Times Square?
Ahh!! They're kissing!!!!
Okay.

The X-Files S07E03 "Hungry"
"What's your point?" That is Mulder's typical response to Scully in a nutshell.
Does that kid live alone? Because his apartment/house/whatever is HUGE!
How come these human monsters of the week never go to a hospital?
Derwood's pretty smart.
This therapist is totally going to get killed.
It's nice, though, to have a predictable, formulaic episode after heady trio we just went through.
Peter Jennings? As the most handsome man in the world?
And is this therapist trying to cure an eating disorder with a mirror? Is that standard practice?
This episode is also interesting in that it follows the monster, but we haven't seen too much of Mulder and Scully and their ruminations.
How did Mulder deduce that it's him?
Ohhhh no, is he going to eat his land lady?
The kid playing Rob is pretty great. This monologue at the Overeaters Anonymous meeting where he's describing what it tastes like to eat a brain? Good stuff.
Are we ever going to find out who the man in the car was?
Why is this therapist baiting him?
The therapist says she knows what he's talking about. I want her to turn into one too.
So he's, what, a shark boy? Who eats brains?
That episode was like a bad parody of itself.

The X-Files S07E02 "The Sixth Extinction: Part 2: Amor Fati"
I already don't like this episode, but I have to get through it to continue the series.
Like, what is even happening?
Why are the sunflower seeds in the fridge?
I don't believe that the Deepthroat guy is actually him.
This whole thing in this house is kind of Red Room-ish.
Who is this guy that was hacking Scully's files? Is that Kritschgau?
Obviously this town is fake.
I really want Scully to sock Fowler.
Is this dream induced to be what they want it to be? Or is it Mulder's own imagination?
Like, this trio of episodes are good on their own, I guess, but don't seem to quite fit in as part of the series.
Also I'm not really buying that the Smoking Man is Mulder's father because they've kind of tried to hint at that in the past only to refute it time and again.
Mulder is a Yankees fan?
This last scene with Scully is nice.
"Even when the world was falling apart, you were my constant." Awwwwwwww!
Well, I guess this episode isn't TERRIBLE.Okay, I actually kind of like it.

The X-Files S07E01 "The Sixth Extinction: Part 1"
Look at all those bugs. Quick! Call Bambi!
So is this a ten plagues thing? Locusts, boils, blood... They're out of order, though.
So Mulder became an alien because he looked at a pencil rubbing of that fragment? Why only him? Or was he an alien all along?
I'm waiting for a big expository monologue.

The X-Files S06E21: Biogenesis
A department head should not call one of his colleagues an embarrassment, especially a possibly dead colleague, and ESPECIALLY if the department head is trying to frame the possibly dead colleague for murder.
Who is this Chuck guy? Have we seen him before?
HAHAHAHAHA. Mulder's gesture at 18:19 is precious.
I would be more interested in COSMOS if it were hosted by Dana Scully instead of Neil Degrasse Tyson.
Another season finale, another near-death experience for Mulder.
Krycek, you bastard.
HOW HAS NO ONE NOTICED THAT??

The X-Files S06E21
Hey, it's Teen Witch!
"Skeletonized" is a word?
Bog sludge? Is that a technical term?
You know what would be awesome? Jack McCoy questioning Fox Mulder on the witness stand. That would be amazing. McCoy's eyebrows would raise right up off his head.
Are they all just on shrooms or something?
It's unusual to hold a wake in the deceased's own apartment, isn't it?
So this trip is characterized by people being easily persuaded?

The X-Files S06E20: Three of a Kind
As much as I love the Lone Gunmen, I'm not crazy about these Gunmen-only episodes. And I don't care much about Suzanne Modeski.
That is a niiiiiice bathroom!
OH! It's that guy! Who is that guy? Oh, it's the guy Mulder switched places with that time. Or at least that actor.
Is this going to be a Casablanca situation with Byers as Rick?
Did they brainwash Langley to cut his hair??
The target is Suzanne, isn't it. (Oh, his hair is just tied up?)

The X-Files S06E19: The Unnatural
The KKK are aliens??
Jesse L. Martin!? Yay Detective Green :)
Scully is sassy this episode!
They're really playing up Arthur Dales this season.
Look how young he is!
Is that the same actor who played the other young Arthur Dales?
Why is that kid dressed like he's from the 30s?
Those were some good yelps!
Has the alien bounty hunter spoken before?
Aww, this is sad :(
I want a Roswell Grays jersey.
This last scene is sweet :)

The X-Files S06E18: Milagro
Oh greeeeat, another killer obsessed with Scully.
This guy is suuuuch a creep.
Come on, Scully, you know better than to indulge a stalker.
This episode is oblique and stupid.

The X-Files S06E17: Trevor
"Dear Diary, Today my heart leapt when Scully suggested spontaneous human combustion." Heh.
Scully's eyebrows are awesome this episode.
Isn't that Officer Dani Sofer??
Episodes with convicts are usually pretty good.
In this day and age, unlike the 90s, having someone's phone number doesn't necessarily mean you know where they live. What with land lines being a thing of the past, and all.
I just suddenly got sad that my boyfriend and I might never have a shared phone number. We might never have a voicemail message with both of our voices, all cute-like.
Awww, poor boyfriend is pouting.
This guy's gonna be dead.
Surely the guy could look at the house and know she spent all the money.
Unless her sister's kid is really hers.
Pinker staring through the hole in the phone booth is actually kinda sad.

The X-Files S06E16: Alpha
The Hound of the Baskervilles?
Wow. That "Yo quiero Taco Bell" reference makes NO sense outside of the 90s.
Ghost dog?
Okay, that wolf thing looks more suited to Are You Afraid of the Dark than The X-Files.
That's no sir!
I like this lady.
"How well do you know anyone you meet on the internet." Well that holds up, at least.
Is Detweiler the dog?
Scully is so good about identifying herself.
This episode is kind of silly, but the dhole is more deadly than some other monsters have been.

The X-Files S06E15: Arcadia
This reminds me of the old folks community my grandparents lives in.
Mulder is enjoying this tooo much
It's kind of like the episode with the nice village of satanists.
That is not the same watch he had last episode.
Is this where M. Night Shayamalan got the idea for The Village?
We still don't know who sent the Klines that windmill thing
Ohhhhh that's who.
Don't you know? X-Files don't go to court.
This tulpa sounds like a golem.
Why would it kill its creator if that would destroy it?
Kind of an unsatisfactory ending.

The Following S02E06
The shy twin looks like a kid I knew in college. I'd been trying to put my finger on it.
Interesting that Lily's "kids" tip-toe around the idea that Lily and Joe had sex. Then Mandy just out and says it.
What's Joe's angle here with Emma?
His eyes are just so brown.
I like Max.
So is Lily supposed to out-crazy Joe here?
Has Iceman gone a bit crazy? Or is that a retractable blade?
Nice, Emma. Smirk when your boyfriend kills someone. Real nice.
I guess Mandy still doesn't get to go on an airplane.
Very little of this has actually been Joe's doing so far.
Anger issues, much?

The X-Files S06E14: Monday
Why does she keep trying to save Mulder if everyone gets killed.
This guy is a terrible bank robber.
Pretty interesting episode. Not much to day about it.

The X-Files S06E13: Agua Mala
This reminds me of an early season episode. Fluke Man, maybe?
Why couldn't it just be an octopus? There's nothing supernatural about that, Scully.
I like this episode's characters, and its almost naive exuberance.
This gun-toting guy is like the proto-George Zimmerman
So Scully is just Mulder's Watson, as it were?

The X-Files S06E12: One Son
Those aliens don't look so fearsome. I could take them.
I've never trusted Diana. Look at her hair.
Mulder still trusts her?
This episode is not so interesting to me. Kind of boring.
Also I don't get it.
Who pays CGB his income?
What about all the other syndicate guys' family members they gave up? What happened to them?
These rebel aliens really need to attach their faces better.
Is there some sort of Holocaust metaphor here? "Purity," train cars, genetic experiments...
So the Syndicate is all dead now?
But the biggest mystery of all: Why did his parents name him Fox?
Smokey shot his own son in the X-Files office?? Whaaaat?
So all of this is just Smokey wishing Mulder were HIS son.
The X-Files S06E11: Two Fathers
Well that's the most direct Smoking Man has ever been about what he's up to.

The X-Files S06E10: Tithonus
I'm pretty sure there's a Goosebumps book with the same premise as this episode.
Why aren't x-files being directed to the x-files?
That was an ice cold "Scully"
The music in this episode is particularly piano-heavy and dark.
This guy gives a pretty convincing performance, talking about Death.
He's really getting to her. Because Mulder's not with her?
Why did he shoot him!?!?
