It feels like there are two shows happening here - the alien baby and Ethan. I'll be interested to see if they have anything to do with each other.

So the underplot here is that a rich guy is dying and doing all kinds of experiments on people and aliens to save himself.

Is Ethan going to lose on purpose?

Well we turned on this grandpa real quick.

Yeah Molly probably should have told her dad that he needs to keep an eye on Ethan. Kidnapping aside, the kid tends to wander off.

Did they just KILL him??

They were using Ethan as bait? What if the husband had found him?

Are they going to take the embryo? Because she's just a baby maker, right?

I wonder if Molly would die for her son. If not, would her husband resent her? (Probably.)

So to recap: previously on Extant, Halle Berry is space pregnant and her son is a robot.

I think I was reading something the other day about how female astronauts are only interesting in popular culture because women can get pregnant. I didn't read the full article, though...

So did the bosses do this to Halle on purpose, do we think? Or are they not in on it?

I think Survival of the Fittest is a bit more nuanced than that.

Well these cameras in the therapist's office are a gross violation of privacy. Obviously something sinister is at play here.
